BARON AND RUDE LIVE AT 10:30 AM PST

Mike and Steve signed and personalized the hardcover books yesterday  and did a short (2 minute) livestream.  They will be doing a longer one  today at 10:30 am PST from Steve's studio in sunny Arizona.

Shout out thanks to Mark Schweikert and Robert Baker who were kind  enough to come do all the heavy lifting for us!  Each of those boxes  they hauled around weighs 50 pounds!

THUNEWORLD UPDATE

Thundworld is being funded by our various Kickstarter/Indiegogo  campaigns and Patreon.  The 40 page Thuneworld Ashcan #1 includes 19  inked/unedited story pages, the original script for those pages and  several pencil progress pages.

The projected cost of Thuneworld is $125,000-150,000.  To ensure we  have funding for this massive project we are offering an amazing  opportunity to see the work in progress in a series of  8½x11"  Collector's Edition Ashcans!  A size large enough to appreciate it  without being overwhelming.  High quality printing on the same stock we  use for our annual sketchbooks.

First off, THANK YOU for all your support while we all suffered  through 6 + weeks of COVID.  Even while sick we managed to get around 50  orders out the door.  Each order is hand checked and  wrapped with care.  This takes a little longer, but everyone should  receive a damage free order.

SHIPPING UPDATE

To date we have shipping over 100 orders out.  With Steve COVID  sick (and still not feeling great) we started with the unsigned orders and orders without sketches.

Steve has been feeling well enough to sign and start sketching  so he's currently working on sketches inside the books and getting books  signed.

DRAW NEXUS KICKSTARTER

We will be re-running the Kickstarter with a few additions OCTOBER 7-21, 2021

• Including a bonus oversized ashcan of Thuneworld - Part 1 of 3.   These will only be available via Kickstarter or Indiegogo and will be  spread out over our next 3 campaigns.  It will include pencils for the  first 30+ pages along with that section of script.  We will be using the  Thuneworld Ad for this cover and will create new covers for parts 2 and  3.
• The T-Shirt design is finished.  We are taking votes on colors and designs

FINANCES FOR GOURMANDO/2021 SKB

To date we lost over $30,000 out of pocket on our Gourmando campaign with COVID rate increases, delays, and inflated shipping costs.  This does not include the cost of getting the books shipped out which will be an additional $5,000.  Budget increases are a risk with any Kickstarter and we took and accepted that risk.  We are one of many campaigns who got caught with the COVID port problems and Hong Kong shipping fiascos.  

Some of the financing for the Gourmando loss was taken from the 2021 Sketchbook.  The Sketchbook and all the extras are now in house along with $2,000 in secure shipping and packing materials.

HOW CAN I HELP

I think I touched on this before, but we are running the campaign to raise funds to help Steve continue to work on Nexus, and also to pay for the last bit of shipping to get your books out to you.

HOW TO DRAW THE ANIMATED NEXUS PROJECT

The $20,000 needed for the project ensures all the past projects will ship quickly, we can do a print run of 1,000 How to Draw the Animated Nexus from a LOCAL printer, AND we can ship out all the past projects while paying our designers and shipping assistants for their work.  Note that this does not include any profit for Steve.  $20,000 is our break even.

SHIPPING

Regardless of the outcome of the Animated Nexus project, your items WILL ship.  We have all the boxes and packing supplies here to get them wrapped up and shipped out in small batches as we are able to afford to do so.

COVID UPDATE

Steve was set to do several livestreams to promote the Animated Nexus project, however, his COVID took a turn for the worse and he's been in bed with a fever.  He's back to working a few hours a day, but until he's fever free for 24 hours we can't allow helpers back into the house.  

I had an allergic reaction to Benzonatate (almost literally every last side effect) and am slowly recovering, but working through it and some of you should have received shipping notifications already.  I am currently working on the next batch of 30 orders.
